Interaktiv installasjon
Innerst i universet – Labyrinten er en interaktiv installasjon der publikum beveger seg gjennom et romlig landskap av minner, fantasier, fortellinger og drømmer. Installasjonen er organisert som et kartotek av gjenstander, der hver ting bærer en tilknyttet historie.
I labyrintens indre finnes et pauserom laget av dynetrekk og putevar fra kunstnerens barndom. Dette rommet utgjør installasjonens kjerne.
Her, innerst i dette hjerneuniverset, høres et lydspor der kunstneren forteller om gjentagende drømmer som har fulgt henne gjennom livet. I disse drømmene lever karakterene videre over tid og eldes parallelt med henne selv.
Gjennom installasjonen finnes lysdioder plassert som forbindelser og signalpunkter i rommet. Lyset refererer til hjernens elektriske aktivitet – de ladningene som forbinder minner, erfaringer og forestillinger.
Interactive installation
Innerst i universet – The Labyrinth is an interactive installation where visitors move through an inner landscape of memories, fantasies, stories and dreams. The installation is organized as a kind of archive of objects, where each item carries its own story.
At the centre of the labyrinth is a resting space made from duvet covers and pillowcases from the artist’s childhood.
Here, deep inside this imagined brain-universe, a sound piece can be heard in which the artist speaks about recurring dreams that have followed her throughout life. In these dreams the characters continue to live over time and age alongside her.
Throughout the installation small LEDs appear as points of connection in the space, referencing the electrical activity of the brain – the signals that link memories, thoughts and imagination.
