Kunstformidling og workshop i forbindelse med minneutstillingen til Tina Mareen Buddeberg
I forbindelse med minneutstillingen til kunstneren Tina Mareen Buddeberg ved Kunstbanken senter for samtidskunst i 2022 utviklet og gjennomførte Mailind Solvind Mjøen et kunstformidlingsopplegg og en workshop for 7. trinn i Hamar kommune.
Formidlingsdelen tok utgangspunkt i Buddebergs kunstnerskap og livsvalg. Elevene ble introdusert til hennes kunst gjennom en samtalebasert omvisning i utstillingen, der sentrale temaer i arbeidet hennes ble løftet frem: forholdet til naturen, dyrene, sirkelen som symbol på kretsløp og evighet, og betydningen av å følge egne drømmer.
Buddeberg flyttet fra Oslo til Sollia i Stor-Elvdal for å skape sitt eget sted – Drømmedalen – hvor hun levde og arbeidet tett på naturen og dyrene rundt seg. Denne historien ble brukt som inngang til en samtale med elevene om kunst, livsvalg og hva det vil si å følge en indre drivkraft.
Etter omvisningen deltok elevene i en workshop der de selv fikk arbeide med temaet drømmer. Hver elev fikk velge en gjennomsiktig plastkule – en liten «verden» – som kunne åpnes. Inne i kulen la de en papirlapp med sin egen drøm eller et ønske for fremtiden. Dette var hemmelig. Kulene ble deretter dekorert med klistremerker og visuelle elementer valgt av elevene selv.
Til slutt ble alle kulene samlet og hengt opp i rommet som en felles installasjon. Til sammen dannet rundt 350 kuler et stort univers av individuelle drømmer. Installasjonen ble vist i Kunstbankens utstillingsvindu og var også tilgjengelig for publikum.
Prosjektet tok utgangspunkt i Buddebergs egne tanker om kunst, natur og livsvalg, og videreførte hennes engasjement for barn og unge. Gjennom en kombinasjon av samtale, refleksjon og skapende arbeid ble elevene invitert til å oppleve kunst som en måte å utforske egne tanker, drømmer og forestillinger om fremtiden.
Art mediation and workshop developed in connection with the memorial exhibition of Tina Mareen Buddeberg
In connection with the memorial exhibition of the artist Tina Mareen Buddeberg at Kunstbanken Centre for Contemporary Art in 2022, Mailind Solvind Mjøen developed and conducted an art mediation programme and workshop for 7th grade students from Hamar municipality.
The mediation began with a dialogue-based guided tour of the exhibition, introducing the students to Buddeberg’s artistic practice and life choices. Central themes in her work were explored through conversation: the relationship between humans and nature, animals, circular forms as symbols of cycles and continuity, and the importance of following one’s own dreams.
Buddeberg left Oslo to settle in the rural area of Sollia in Stor-Elvdal, where she created a place she called Dream Valley (Drømmedalen). There she lived and worked closely connected to nature and the animals around her. This story served as a starting point for discussing artistic motivation, life choices and the courage it takes to follow an inner vision.
Following the tour, the students participated in a workshop centered on the theme of dreams. Each student selected a transparent plastic sphere – a small “world” – which could be opened. Inside the sphere they placed a small piece of paper containing their personal dream or wish for the future. The spheres were then decorated with stickers and visual elements chosen by the students.
In the final stage of the workshop, all spheres were suspended together to form a collective installation. In total, around 350 spheres created a shared universe of individual dreams. The installation was displayed in the exhibition window at Kunstbanken and was also visible to the public.
The project built upon Buddeberg’s own artistic ideas about nature, imagination and the courage to pursue one’s dreams, while also continuing her engagement with children and young people. Through conversation, reflection and creative making, the students were invited to experience art as a way of exploring their own thoughts, dreams and possible futures.
